Counseling Marital Status: Married From Dale:
I remember most of the faces in our class. High School was a fun time for me. Then I went on to KU. My wife and I are headed towards 38 years of marriage. We have one daughter and three sons. When we were married, I was V.P. in charge of manufacturing for the Green Jewelry Company, then located in downtown Kansas City. This is the company which made all the athletic and scholastic awards which Bob Deane, Warren Haskins, Elbo, and other jocks and egg heads (who got all the girls) wore on their letter sweaters. I didn't get any awards, as they didn't give them out for Eighth Hour, which is where I went after school most afternoons. I also didn't get any girls, which is why I was still around to marry Cindy, who is a looker and absolutely darling in every way! I retired early, because I am so smart. (Wrong.) I developed a condition known as spasmodic dysphonia. That means I have permanent laryngitis. Some of my friends say that it was a blessing from God! It is not serious, only irritating. It caused me some problems, particularly on the phone. I was a partner in a natural gas pipeline company, and decided to sell out and enjoy life, as I was frustrated by how hard normal communication over the telephone was for me. I tell you this story, as what I am doing now, is probably the last thing anyone would guess. I do Marriage and Family Counseling at a mega church called James River Assembly, located just south of Springfield in Ozark, MO. I volunteer there, and do between 100-150 couples or families per year. But to be honest, I really like retirement much better than work or service, as I enjoy spending my time with Cindy. We love going out on Table Rock Lake in our boat, when the rest of you leave town after the weekend. We tie ourselves to the boat with a line, turn the music up loud, and float until we are good and ready. Some days that is a long time! Hope to see you all at the reunion!

Occupation: retired. business owner Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 1 From marcia:
I have been very happily married to Paul Herman for 41 years. And to celebrate, last summer we had a really great party--everone wrote a skit, song or taost--including our 28 year old son, Andrew. He has a MS degree in music compolistion, but decided to earn his own way (lucky us) and has just completeted his 1st year in law school at NYU. Our home of 33 years is in west Los Angeles, an area called Brentwood. Paul and I are both retired--he is a radiologist and I have been in the design/furnitre business--most recently (for 20 years) I owned a custom children's furniture store called Fun Furniture, which I sold in 2001. I am also a political junkie. I was thrilled to be included in the swearing-in ceremonies for Speaker Nancy Pelosi. I also worked for the election and re-election of Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius. I am the founding member of a group of L.A, women who supports pro-choice women candidates from across the country. As you can no doubt guess, we had a lot of success in the last electon. The group, The Women's Political Committee is 30 years old, so we felt very deserving of all our '06 wins. Sorry I cannot attend the reunion. But I look forward to reading about everyone.

Occupation: Retired - International
Business Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 3 From Sandi: The "then" picture was the last one I had taken before leaving S-M for Pittsburgh after our Sophomore year. I can't get over how dark my hair was then. Sure glad my "natural blonde" hair color appeared when I reached adulthood. (Smile!) I sure hope I can make it to the reunion as I have so many fond memories of friends and good times. I'm also going to try to post some old photos I have. I hope I don't upset anyone since so many of them are in swimsuits -- guess we hung out at the pool or Lake Quivira a lot. Regards to all.

Judy Fields (Howard)
Occupation: Retired -- Legal
Secretary Marital Status: Divorced From Judy: I've lived in Texas since 1979 when I moved to Dallas with my then husband, Larry Howard ('57 -- now deceased). I retired from A. G. Hill/Hunt Petroleum Corporation in 1999. The plan was to move to Bozeman Montana to live near my sister, Shirley, but that didn't work out. Since 2002, Sun City in Georgetown, TX (just north of Austin) has been my home. The Hill Country is beautiful year round, and living on a greenbelt has me interacting with nature. The bluebonnets and other wildflowers are awesome in Spring; the white tail deer are lovely to watch...and love to eat the flowers; the raccoons often raid the hummingbird feeders; some evenings you'll hear the call of the owls; on others the coyotes; and you'll even see wild turkeys and the occasional live armadillo on early morning walks. Guess I've found my idea of retirement Paradise.

I have 3 wonderful daughters as well as a son who is just as wonderful. 4 grandsons and 5 granddaughters who definitely light up my life in more ways than I can express. Over the years, I have lived in several different states but eventually came back to Kansas for the kids. The opportunity for travel has knocked on my door many times and have enjoyed each trip immensely. I did retire for a short length of time but had to go back and do something to save my sanity. Over the years have done a lot of fishing and just love it and hope I can continue for a few more years. Wishing all of you good health, lots of laughs and an abundance of love.
